The Elantra is Hyundai’s compact sedan that has been delighting drivers for more than a decade, and it rightfully deserves your attention today as you prepare to buy your next vehicle. The 2022 Elantra is part of a generation that debuted last year with a bumper-to-bumper refresh. It is currently available with five trim levels. Two additional trim levels are available for the Elantra Hybrid. Are you ready to compare the Elantra and the Elantra Hybrid with support from our team at Suburban Hyundai?

The 2022 Hyundai Elantra is available with three powertrains. A 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 147 horsepower kicks off the line. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission. The mid-level Elantra powertrain is a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine that offers 201 horsepower. It comes with your choice of a six-speed manual or dual-clutch seven-speed transmission. The top powertrain available is a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder option that generates 276 horsepower. It is offered with a manual transmission or an eight-speed dual-clutch alternative. The two Elantra Hybrid trim levels have a 1.6-liter hybrid engine that delivers 139 horsepower. It is tied to a six-speed auto transmission.

The Elantra and the Elantra Hybrid are built on the same body style, and they have the same premium design from front to rear. However, across the trim line, you will find differences in the grille mesh, the wheels, and other minor styling details. The sedans have a drop-down grille that interacts seamlessly with the headlights on the trim options for both versions. These are LED-capped, angled headlights. The profile is distinctly aerodynamic, and the converging personality lines on the sides add an element of sleekness. At the rear, you will find a perfectly molded fascia with geometrically-themed headlights.

The Elantra Hybrid Blue trim level has the same features as the Elantra SEL. The Elantra Hybrid Limited has the same features as the Elantra Limited. These are mid-level trims that are well-appointed. Depending on your preferred trim, you may find equipment like heated front seats, driver’s side memory settings, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch central display screen, voice recognition, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other equipment.
