Serving Troy, MI

At Suburban Hyundai, our valued customers for a new crossover often ask about the differences between the Tucson and Santa Fe models. While these models offer two rows of seating and share many features, they differ significantly. The 2023 Tucson is a small crossover with ten trim options. On the other hand, the Santa Fe is a midsize crossover with five trim levels. Before picking out your next SUV, what else should you be aware of about these models?

Performance

Seven of the Tucson's trims are outfitted with a 187-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, and an auto eight-speed transmission. They are offered with both all-wheel and front-wheel drivetrains. The remaining three trims have a hybrid, turbocharged engine with 227 combined horsepower. This system is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. There are two gas engines available for the Santa Fe. Lower trims have a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder, 191-horsepower system with an auto eight-speed transmission. Higher trims have the same transmission with a 281-horsepower, turbocharged variant engine. All 2023 Santa Fe trims have front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The 2023 Hyundai Tucson is a smaller model with a curved nose and strong curvature across the complete profile. Across the sides, you will find crisp accents, sculpted rear fenders, and geometric wheel well molding. The front of the Tucson is stunning, with large foglight ports and a wide grille. The radiating pattern on the grille integrates beautifully with the connected LED headlamps. The Santa Fe is a larger model with only subtle curves through its profile. The broad grille has a unique shape and a standout pattern. It trends toward T-shaped headlights. Chrome trim enhances the lower perimeter of the Santa Fe from front to rear. In addition, a subtle personality line streams across the side panels.

Features

The 2023 Santa Fe and the 2023 Tucson have numerous features in common. Some of these are a digital instrument panel, leather material, a Bose audio system, a wireless charging pad, a blind-spot camera, front and rear heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a navigation system, paddle shifters with a heated steering wheel, driver's memory settings and lane keeping. Some items exclusively available in select Santa Fe trims are rain-sensing wipers, automated parking, a head-up display, quilted stitching, and a faux suede headliner.
