Serving Troy, MI

While many compact cars are on the market today, the Hyundai Elantra stands apart. This sporty, four-door model boasts a solid selection of features and spirited handling. When you compare the 2022 Elantra to the new 2023 version, you will find that Hyundai has made a few thoughtful improvements. What are the key differences between the 2022 and 2023 Elantra?

Performance

In 2023, the top-of-the-line Elantra N is the only trim available with an optional manual transmission. The powertrains are unchanged stepping into the new model year. The lower trims receive 147 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine, and this engine is paired with a continuously variable auto transmission. The Elantra Hybrid Blue has a 139-combined horsepower hybrid system and a six-speed auto transmission. The N Line has a 201-horsepower, turbo, 1.6-liter gas engine mated to a seven-speed auto, dual-clutch transmission. The top N trim pulls 276 horsepower from its turbo 2.0-liter engine. This comes with an eight-speed auto, dual-clutch transmission, or optional manual transmission.

Appearance

The appealing exterior design of the Elantra is unchanged going into the 2023 model year. Geometric side-door accents and tapered definition accompany its curving profile through the hood. The black grille trends inward and reaches through the bumper for a commanding look. The lower-front air vents and the LED-enhanced headlights have sharp, stretched styling. Higher trims are available with heated side mirrors, LED taillights, up to 19-inch wheels, and performance tires.

Features

In 2023, the SEL Premium package has been deleted, but all other packages and trims remain. The base Elantra SE is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, cloth seats, dual USB ports, an 8-inch touch display screen, blind-spot collision avoidance, and more. Some of the more advanced features offered in higher trim levels and optional packages include adaptive cruise control, a premium audio system, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a push-button ignition, a wireless device charging pad, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s cluster, heated front seats, leather seating, and other desired features.

The Hyundai Elantra has had strong staying power throughout its history, and it continues to impress Troy-area drivers thanks to the thoughtful updates that have been made to the 2023 model. To continue your review of these model years and their trims in person, drop by Suburban Hyundai soon.
